I love color and I love light. I’m also drawn to glass and the way its appearance changes with light. Long experience with architectural use of glass and tile make glass mosaics my natural artistic medium.

My work draws heavily on the desert environment and culture of New Mexico. I usually work from photos that I’ve taken and use them to develop a sketch. I’ll then choose glass to express what I want a piece to convey. Sometimes I’ll start with a particularly beautiful piece of art glass and let that dictate what follows.
