Lauren Goldstein
Lauren Goldstein is the founder of Flow State Silver, her metalsmithing brand dedicated to one-of-a-kind, handmade and bespoke pieces that combine complex textures, collage, and traditional and non-traditional materials. The “Flow State” is the intense state of concentration and immersion one enters when creating – when all other anxiety and distractions are at bay and time seems to evaporate. She describes her relationship with metalsmithing as pure obsession.
She studied under Motoko Furuhashi, Ger Xiong, and Johanna Typaldos at New Mexico State University (NMSU). Lauren joined Agave Artists Cooperative Gallery in 2025 and has also shown at Gallery 925, Doña Ana Arts Council Gallery, Baltimore Jewelry Center, and with the Papayas Collective in Las Cruces.
She has lived in Las Cruces since 2010 and is a passionate mountain biker, traveler, partner, and dog mom. She earned her Masters in Fine Arts in creative writing from Virginia Tech and PhD in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from NMSU.
